Summertime Together

We have a GREAT summer program planned! Summertime Together Morning Session (9:00 a.m.) offers two study options and expanded childcare. We also have Daybreak and Evening Sessions. Please join us!

Daybreak
“When the Good News Gets Even Better: Rediscovering the Gospels Through First-Century Jewish Eyes” by Ned Hayden

This Bible study will help you see the Gospels in light of the culture and customs of the original Jewish audience. Please purchase your own copy prior to the first session. It’s available at area Christian bookstores.  Call Marsha Livingston at 635.9328 for more information.

Life is messy… no kidding! It doesn’t fit in nice, neat categories. Pat answers are hard to come by as there are deep issues that cut across life and faith. “Culture Questions – Part Two” is a place to explore the messiness… to explore the intersection of life and faith, culture and Scripture, this world and our place in it. How do we do this? How do we live in the tension, the gray, becoming thoughtful, discerning people? Each week a new area of messy, gray, tension will be explored.

"Breaking Free" with Beth Moore

Many Christians are held captive by various things. Join us for Beth Moore's updated DVD series about freedom in Christ. Through Scripture you will discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His peace, and enjoy His presence.

Available at the 9:00 a.m. morning session only

0-2 years: Children ages 0-2 will be well taken care of by our skilled nursery workers.

3-5 years: Children between 3-5 years will love playing and learning together in a fun Christ-centered environment.

6-11 years: Children ages 6-11 are invited to come along for some fun and adventure as we travel each week to a different country. We will learn about a variety of cultures and about God's love for all peoples through Bible stories, crafts, games, guest speakers, prayer and music. Join us to learn about living as a mission-minded child of God!

We regret that we cannot accomodate children who are ill or those whose mothers are not in attendance.

Men’s Lunch Break-11:45 am – 12:45pm, third Wednesdays of each month.   Cost is $8 if you rsvp by Monday noon before the event and $10 thereafter. Call the reservation line at 884-6228 to reserve a spot.

Fall 2011
Men’s Life Bible Study - Real men feed themselves! Join Jim Singleton and Bob Ewell on Tuesday mornings or through video on Wednesday nights as you learn to apply scripture to your lives on your own (in the company of other men!). As they say at Home Depot, “You can do it; we can help!” Each week we’ll give a brief introduction; you’ll look at 10 – 12 verses on the spot using tools we will provide.  Then you’ll discuss what God is saying to you with some other men, led by a trained facilitator. Getting into the scripture on your own is fun, it’s doable, and it’s necessary! Real men feed themselves! Join us.  Cost is $15.
