Safford and Florence Herrmann have been members at First Pres for over 56 years.  Safford spent his career in banking and for many years served as an usher at the church, as well as an elder and trustee.  On Monday mornings you will still find Safford at the church helping to count Sunday’s offerings.  For 22 years Florence taught three, four and five year olds in our Sunday School. Safford and Florence have a Charitable Remainder Unitrust that provides income for them and upon their passing will provide income for their daughter.  Upon her death the funds in the Unitrust will come to First Pres church.  This trust has been a great way to provide income for the family and, at the same time, benefit our church which has been so important to them for many years.
