Many of you may be viewing these pages for the first time and most are curious about who we truly are because you’re considering a visit.

Let me begin by letting you know just how thrilled we are that you are here!  We want our Web site to be a comfortable space for you to get to know us.  You’ll find lots of information about exciting happenings, opportunities to learn and grow, inspirational resources and places to serve or be served—all of which help paint a picture of who we are as a church body.

However, in all of this, we don’t want you to miss our heart.

At the core of who we are at First Pres is a desire to know God intimately through his son Jesus Christ and to make Jesus known to others.  There’s no greater calling, and there is no better way to bless others than by sharing God’s love and grace in real and tangible ways.

Life takes us down many roads, so I do not know where you specifically are on life’s journey as you read these words.  But I do know that, at First Pres, you’ll find an accepting and nurturing church family that wants to walk alongside you in that journey.  Whether you are building a firm foundation or are picking up the pieces from a fall, we are here to listen and to help.

A good place to start is by looking through our First-Time Visitors section.  It is our best overview for those who are new to First Pres.  We hope you’ll use the information to visit us in person soon.  We’re looking forward to learning more about you!
