Find your place on Wednesday night
On Wednesday nights, we're about connecting with the family of faith at First Pres as we are growing in Christ and living out our faith in the world. CORE continues this fall with Part 3 as we look more closely at the person and work of the Holy Spirit. A few new classes like World Missions: Understanding and Living the Story and The Call of God on Our Lives: Our Daily Work in the World, will help us to connect more deeply with how God might be using us each day for his larger purposes in the world. Young Family Small Groups will gather each week to connect and challenge one another as couples raising children in this world. Each offering is structured to help us grow in relationship with others through interaction, prayer times and reflection. Children and students have both music and small group options as well.
All classes meet from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. beginning September 15 unless otherwise noted.
GROWING IN THE FAITH
CORE 3 The Holy Spirit (10 weeks starting September 15)
Who is the Holy Spirit, and what is the work of the Spirit in our lives? For what purpose did God form the church? In CORE 3 we will explore the questions that emerge from a growing relationship with the Holy Spirit. CORE 3 follows the CORE 1 and 2 curriculum from last year, but anyone can join. A 30-minute teaching time in the Sanctuary kicks off each class, followed by a short time engaging in a spiritual discipline and some time in smaller groups working on the application and implications of what we are learning together. The class is also live-streamed over the internet and archived on the Website for small groups who would like to meet in homes and go through the class together. Led by: Jim Singleton and Jim Smith
