There’s no doubt that God values families.  He is their author!  God ordained the family unit from creation and has graciously used families throughout history to unfold his plan for the redemption of all mankind.

For this reason, we place a high value on families at First Presbyterian and seek to strengthen and encourage them through every ministry we offer.  All of the ministries in this Families section reflect our desire to build up individual members, while drawing whole families closer together.  You’ll find many opportunities for personal growth of the individual.  You’ll also see ways families can worship and serve together, bonding as a close, productive unit.

But today’s culture and the hardships of this world are not always kind to families.  That’s why much of the ministering you see in this section provides support and encouragement for hurting families.  Families of all kinds are welcome at First Pres.  You’ll sense a caring and nurturing response to your needs.  Whether married and struggling, or a single parent attempting to give your children the best start possible, we are here to help.
