Worship Services

Worship is considered foundational at First Presbyterian.

Through a combination of uplifting music, corporate prayer, and the solid, practical teaching of God’s Word, we seek authentic and heart-felt worship.  From that experience flows our sense of community.  Worship transforms our lives and motivates us to serve.  To that end, we strive for worship that speaks to the whole person—mind, heart and body.

New Worship Times Coming September 7, 2008!
Slight adjustments to the current worship schedule will be implemented September 7 to better align the children and youth Sunday School hours and to allow our final morning service to end closer to the noon hour.  The new service times will be:
  • Blended traditional with full choir at 8:20 and 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary
  • Blended traditional with young adult choir at 11:10 a.m. in the Sanctuary
  • Contemporary at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall and 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

The Sunday School hour for children and youth will begin at 9:35 a.m.  (Drop off time for Children's Sunday School will be at 9:35 a.m., with teaching starting at 9:45 a.m.)

Adult Sunday School choices will be available at 8:20, 9:35, and 11:10 a.m.

Blended Traditional at 8:30 & 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary

A brass ensemble and organ, our renowned adult choir, a blending of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs, and inspired preaching combine to create a service that is sometimes splendidly majestic, sometimes warm and personal, and always meaningful.  A children’s message is included at the 8:30 a.m. service.

Blended Traditional at 11:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Warm, energetic, and very meaningful, this service is a slightly less formal mix with our young adult choir, a blending of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs, a children's message, and identical preaching.

Contemporary at 9:50 a.m. in Fellowship Hall and 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary

A praise band, worship team, and contemporary praise and worship songs combine with the same inspired preaching from our pastor to make these services a worship experience that is warm, inspirational and exciting for all ages. A children's message is included at the 5:30 p.m. service.
