• Emphasis on fun, Christian character traits and basketball basics.
• Player's age group is determined by their grade for the 2008-2009 school year.
• Players will be placed on teams with a volunteer coach.
• Parents are needed to coach a team. No basketball experience necessary. Coaches training provided and coaches set their team's practice time. Coaches for Kindergarteners are also needed and should attend the coaches' training session.
• Mandatory coaches meeting on Thursday & Friday, January 29 & 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the church Gym. 

STAR Basketball - Kindergarten

• Cost: $40
• 5 Saturdays - 02/14 - 03/14 - Practice followed immediately by a game/scrimmage.
• Kids will have a clinic/teaching session and then will be divided up for the game/scrimmage. 1-hour total time.
• No weekday practice.
• Players will receive the red and white STAR Basketball jersey.

• Teams will be formed in each age group.
• Teams will have one 45-minute practice time per week (week night) and one game per week (Saturday).
• Please do not request a teammate outside your child's age group.

• Teams will have one 60-minute practice time per week (week night) and one game per week (Saturday).
• Please do not request teammate outside your child's age group.

First practice for all teams (grades 1-4) will be on Saturday, February 7
Weekly practices will be weekday early evenings following the first practice. Practice times will be set by volunteer coaches.

Games: Saturdays, February 14 - March 14 (Five weeks) at First Presbyterian Church Gym.

Cost: $40 for returning players (players with STAR Basketball Jersey).
Cost: $50 for new players includes STAR Basketball Jersey.

Register by: Wednesday, January 21 by NOON. (Mailed registrations must be received by the Wednesday, January 21 deadline. Please mail your registration early enough to insure arrival by this date.)

Parents will receive a postcard following the registration deadline as to their child’s team and practice time. Every attempt will be made to honor special requests, but no guarantees to this are given.
