American Red Cross - The ARC helps prepare communities for emergencies and keep people safe every day. First Pres is a designated emergency shelter with trained volunteers in disaster relief. www.redcross.org
Care & Share - is a non-profit food bank which through a comprehensive food acquisition system, acts as southern Colorado's sole food bank for locally and nationally donated and purchased food. In FY2007 they distributed 9.3 million pounds of food through nearly 400 human service agencies, sister food banks and community collaborations to 89,000 different people. www.careandshare.org
Children of Promise – is dedicated to providing support and nurturing to teenagers in need. An annual prom dress drive and Christmas gifts to needy teens are the hallmarks of this agency.
Crossfire Ministries – a non-profit corporation devoted to helping the needy and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2005 over 20,000 people were served at Crossfire, receiving baby supplies, bedding, toiletries, clothing, food and Bibles. www.crossfireministries.com
*Dale House - is an outreach project of Young Life that serves troubled young people with a family-oriented community. Dale House is a licensed residential child care working with youth ages 16 – 21 and focused on independent living. Many members of our congregation have been involved in this program over the past 25 years. They provide counseling, emergency placement, an on-grounds school, independent living preparation and transitional and independent living apartments as well as outreach and aftercare. www.thedalehouse.org
*Ecumenical Social Ministries (ESM) - Following Christ's directive to "feed the hungry" and "clothe the naked," ESM has provided a Christian outreach of emergency direct services to needy families and individuals since its founding in 1982 by 8 downtown Colorado Springs churches, including First Presbyterian. Their services include assistance with prescription medications, food, USDA commodities, clothing, transportation, laundry, haircuts, eye glasses, and other miscellaneous needs. ESM assists families in locating affordable housing and obtaining/maintaining that housing and utility service. The Employment Program offers clients the opportunity to achieve greater independence through job readiness, development and placement services. They serve approximately 10,000 families annually. ESM's ultimate goal is to assist clients toward greater self-sufficiency. www.ecusocmin.org
Faith Partners - is a non-profit, faith based organizations whose mission is to help families escape poverty through a mentoring program with teams of trained church volunteers and family outreach. Faith Partners works with the Department of Human Services in response to welfare reform. A core belief of Faith Partners is that there are two solid paths out of poverty – education and relationship.
*Family Life Services - is an evangelical, non-denominational ministry which seeks to compassionately express the Gospel of Jesus Christ by intervening in the lives of disrupted families who are committed to change, moving them toward functional wholeness. They provide a resident program for mothers and children and Biblically-based family counseling. They also help develop clusters of three to four households who team together to help a single-parent family. www.flscs.com
*Greccio Housing - The Mission of Greccio, Housing Unlimited, Inc. is to preserve, develop and maintain quality affordable housing that supports a sense of community in the Pikes Peak Region. An extensive network of referrals to other agencies can provide education, mental health expertise, child care, job-hunting assistance, substance abuse treatment, and many other specialized services. www.greccio.org
*Habitat for Humanity - is a Christian ministry that bridges denominations in its concern to provide simple and decent housing for low-income families. Habitat has completed over 62,000 homes worldwide and attributes its success to the fact that it is a ministry to God's people in need. *Hope and Home – was founded in 1998 and licensed by the State of Colorado as a child placement agency. Hope & Home provides foster care and adoptive services to abused and neglected children. A unique treatment philosophy that emphasizes inclusion and focuses on permanence is the cornerstone of Hope & Home's success. As a non-denominational, Christian charity, Hope & Home's commitment is to permanency for the children and families served. *Interfaith Hospitality Network - The mission of the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is to give hope to homeless families with children. IHN realizes its mission by providing transitional shelter, meal and supportive services to homeless families and those at immediate risk of homelessness. The 5 basic components: hosting by local congregations, a day center where case management services are provided, volunteers, partnering with social service agencies for referrals and services, and transportation for families with that need. www.ihn-cos.org
*Life Network - an evangelistic, pro-life, client-oriented organization which offers programs in abstinence education, teen mentoring, single parenting, pregnancy loss, and infant death. They provide housing to pregnant women, offer hope to those who are hurting from the pain caused by abortion, and run a medical clinic where ultrasounds are provided for abortion-minded clients. All services are offered free of charge.
*Mission Medical Clinic – Their mission is to heal the sick in the name of Jesus Christ. Free medical care and prescriptions are provided to the low income and uninsured. MMC has an onsite prayer ministry team and serves in a caring and loving environment. Medical care is provided by volunteers in three areas of care - medical, dental, and psychological. The Mission Medical Clinic opened January 31, 2004 and has provided over $1 million in free prescriptions and seen over 2,000 patients! www.missionmedicalclinic.org
*Prison Fellowship - founded in 1976 by Charles Colson, is the world's largest prison outreach program. Its goal is to help prisoners rehabilitate their lives through faith in Jesus Christ. PF ministers to prisoners, ex-prisoners, victims and families through in-prison seminars and Bible studies, a mentoring program, the Angel Tree Project (providing Christmas gifts to children of inmates), and transition assistance. www.pfm.org

Ronald McDonald House - The purpose is to provide emotional support to relatives of sick children and to help eliminate costly hotel bills while providing a secure place to stay, a place where additional strength and stability are received from other families in similar situations. www.rmhc.org
Springs Rescue Mission - is a non-denominational faith based ministry. They offer more than a program to deliver the homeless from drug addiction by introducing them to the Lord. The goal is to reach the poor and needy of Colorado Springs with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing for their physical needs while ministering restoration to their spirit, soul and body. www.springsrescuemission.org
Young Lives – is a Christian organization whose purpose is to introduce teen moms to the gospel of Jesus and help them grow in their faith, through a relational ministry.
