MOPS - Adventures in Motherhood!

Mothering is an adventure to be sure - from baby's first kisses and cute messy faces to trips to the playground and pushing a grocery cart with a screaming toddler, a mom's life is full of adventures with her children.  But it's not only about the kids.  Mothering is also an adventure in personal growth for every woman who undertakes this important role. 

First Presbyterian offers both daytime MOPS and Twilight MOPS gatherings.  Our Fall Season begins Thursday, September 11, 2008 and Friday, September 12, 2008.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a dynamic, worldwide program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS is a relevant and caring network, making moms better moms through trusted resources and relationships.

SUMMER SNAPSHOTS AT SUMMER MOPS

Daytime Group meets for breakfast at 9:00 a.m.  Twilight group meets for dinner at 6:00 p.m. Cost $12 per session.  Childcare for infants through incoming kindergartners will be provided by reservation only.

• Capture the Season:  Thursday, June 5, 2008.  It's that time of year again!  Long summer days stretch before you...our speaker, Mary Sue Copeland will tell us how to capture the season so it remains in your memory for years to come rather than letting it pass in the blur of the everyday. 
• Capture the Perspective:  Thursday, July 10, 2008.  Keeping your focus and maintaining your sanity during the preschool years can be a difficult challenge for any mom.  Come and hear our speaker, Susan Howell talk about how to Capture the Perspective and treasure this phase of life rather than wishing those long days away. 
• Capture the Moment:  Thursday, August 7, 2008.  Intentional living with small, and often unpredictable children underfoot may seem like an unobtainable ideal.  Our speaker, Georgeanne Hughes will give insight on how to Capture the Moment with your children, family and friends in the midst of the speed of life.
