The mission of the Stewardship Ministries Office is to enable our congregation to be generous givers by providing the practical tools that help us manage our resources in such a way that we can be a giving people.

Opportunities for Supporting Ministry
Core Ministry
Pledges and gifts to the core ministry of First Pres provide the primary financial support for day-to-day ministry and operational costs.
Designated Giving
Designated gifts provide a way for you to make special gifts for a specific ministry or program.

The special offerings listed below provide essential funding for First Pres ministries and programs. Many opportunities for mission, ministry and growth would not be possible without the additional support these offerings bring:

Deacons Offering

One Great Hour of Sharing offering is taken on Palm Sunday in support of emergency and disaster relief and efforts to help the poor and needy. Through 2009, this offering will be dedicated to the expansion efforts of the local Marian House Soup Kitchen.

About the Stewardship Staff
Mary Frieg, Director of Stewardship
Mary was born in Bellevue, Ohio. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio where she met her husband, Dick. They were in Campus Crusade's Music Ministry for five years before serving a Presbyterian Church in Ohio. Cook Communication Ministries brought them to Colorado Springs. They joined First Presbyterian in 1994. Mary joined the staff in 1999, and in 2003, she became Director of Stewardship Ministries. Mary is an Elder and has been active in many ministry areas, including choir where she served as Choir President for three years. She and Dick have three children.
