In an important election year, our interest in leadership rises and we wonder how, or even IF, God is at work in our world. Looking back through the eyes of Daniel,  we see that God is at work throughout history in mighty ways. Daniel lived in a big city, surrounded by multi-cultural influences. He had to make choices about what it meant to live out his faith when the rules around him had changed. The book of Daniel is about God being in control even though circumstances seem out of control. Like Daniel, the difficulties of our lives do not come as a surprise to God! He meets us in the nitty-gritty of our daily lives and gives us strength to meet the challenges of contemporary life. Come and learn about the God of the universe who is at work in our world and in our individual lives

DAUGHTERS OF THE KING meets each Tuesday morning from 9:00-11:30 at the Weber Street Center Aspen room.

  • Session One: September 13 - November 29
  • Topic of Study: Armor of God, Priscilla Shirer
  • Cost: TBD
  • Childcare is not provided for this study

The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer is based on Ephesians 6:11-19. Together we will develop an action plan for putting on the armor of God daily so we can be victorious in the war against Satan as he tries to discourage and defeat us. We will learn together how to become strong warriors using the weapons that God has given us in His word to fight the enemy! As daughters of the king we will learn how ot be armed and dangerous and strong in the Lord!

Space is limited, for more information contact Laura Janca 884-6233.

The women in Precept Bible Study invite you to join us as we study God's word. Women from all ages and walks of life have been challeneged to grow in their walk with Christ and in community with one another through this study for more than 20 years. Precept Bible studies, written by Kay Arthur, use an inductive method that involves observation of the text, interpretaion (using cross-references and historical information), and life application. Personal preparation involves five days of homework each week. When we gather, we spend time in teaching and discussion, followed by time in small group sharing and prayer, followed by an optional video presentation by Kay Arthur.

Precepts meets each Tuesday morning from 9:00-11:00 in Hansen Hall, Room 204 (optional Kay Arthur video lecture from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
