Historic Old Colorado City Walk


Discover the fascinating history of Old Colorado City, located on the far west side of Colorado Springs.  Now a beautifully restored historic district, this area once included a wild and woolly red-light district, and now includes almost 100 specialty shops, unique restaurants and turn-of-the century architecture.  Participants will meet at the FPC Weber Street Center (105 N. Weber) and carpool to Old Colorado City.  Lunch will follow the tour.

The Springs Of Manitou


Explore the springs of Manitou!  Learn some of the early history of the area, the Native American influence, discover the different tastes of water from each of the numerous mineral springs and enjoy a picnic lunch.  Don't miss this walking tour of Manitou Springs!  Invite your friends!

Denver / South Park, Boreas Pass


Enjoy a scenic drive into the mountains!  Head north to Deckers; over Kenosha Pass to Como.  From there we'll drive over Boreas Pass at the elevation of 11, 482 feet.  Boreas Pass is the old grade of the Denver and South Park Railroad.  Lunch will be in the quaint mountain town of Breckenridge. The scenery is amazing!  A relaxing summer day in the mountains, full of fun and beauty awaits you.

Olympic Training Center Tour/Picnic


Get into the Olympic spirit and join us as we tour Colorado Springs very own Olympic Training Center.  Learn more about the athletes representing our country as well as where they live and train.  Plan to join us for a picnic lunch after the tour!

Alamosa / La Veta Train Trip And Overnight


Narrow gauge tracks were laid over LaVeta Pass in 1876.  At the time, it was the highest railroad pass in the country.  Join us as we ride the modern version of the railroad from Alamosa to LaVeta.  We will travel to Alamosa on Wednesday, catch the train on Thursday morning; ride over to LaVeta, enjoy lunch and a stroll around the town, ride back to Alamosa and return to Colorado Springs Thursday night.  Don't miss this fun summer adventure.  Space is limited!

  • Cost: $160 + money for various meals (two evening meals and one lunch) Hotel rooms are double-occupancy. (Cost for single occupancy - $210)  Price includes hotel, train and transportation. Register by: Monday, August 4

San Luis Valley Fall Foliage Cumbres Toltec Train Trip


Mark your calendars for this fall trip!

The San Luis Valley has a long history dating from the Utes, to colonial Spain to the American explorers.  Join us for a 3-day trip to the San Luis Valley.  Visit Ft. Garland, an old military fort, San Luis the oldest town in Colorado and walk the Stations of the Cross.  The second day, ride the Cumbres Toltec Scenic Railroad from Antonito to Chama and return by bus to Antonito.  Both nights will be spent in Alamosa.  The trip home will wind through the Great Sand Dunes and Salida on the way back to Colorado Springs.  Enjoy this extended early fall trip when the aspens put on their finery.  Space is very limited, so sign up early.
  • September 24 - 26, Wednesday - Friday
  • Cost: $275 + money for various meals.   $150 non-refundable deposit due with registration.  Balance due on registration deadline - September 9 (BY NOON.)  Hotel rooms are double-occupancy. (Cost for single occupancy - $365 - non-refundable deposit is $185 due with registration.)
