Justice Gatherings

Over and over again in Scripture we see God's heart for justice. As followers of Jesus we are to be a people who hunger and thirst for justice in the midst of a broken world. Who long, who pray, who work for justice in a very unjust world.

To this end we gather once a month around issues of justice to seek God's will together for our lives, for our city, for this world.  Check back for upcoming events.

College &Young Adults

We believe that following Jesus was meant to be done together...in community. There are lots of ways to get plugged into the life of our community. We'd love to meet you so we hope you'll check out the options below and come hang out with us.

Our new home: college and young adult ministry at First Pres is housed in 225 N Weber (near the intersection of Platte and Weber). Or as we call it “225.”  Our dream is for 225 to be a place of relationships. A place for people to connect and experience life-giving community. 225 will soon be home to a coffee shop open to the public . Come check it out!

Encounter: A night to encounter the Living God through song, scripture and prayer....all in community. For college students, young adults, and really people of all ages! The Second Tuesday of every month in 225 N Weber at 7PM.

Spring Break Mission Trip 2012:
Get excited!  We are returning to the Dominican Republic this March to work with Mission Emmanuel. The dates are Saturday, March 24-Friday, March 30.  More info coming soon!

THRIVE College Ministry

(Ages 18-22)
We are a college ministry based on being “sent out” to our city. Each Sunday morning we gather together as a larger community  to be built up, encouraged, and then sent out to our various campuses, workplaces, and neighborhoods to be missionaries for Jesus Christ.

Sunday Morning Gathering 9:45AM (1st Sunday of every month is Pancake Breakfast) in 225.
Worshiping together, studying Scripture.....


Weekly Sunday Lunch in 225 (After the 11:10 Worship Service). Grilling out (and maybe watching some football). Costs is $3.

College Night: Tuesday Nights at 7PM.  College-age people from all over the city gather to connect and pursue Christ together (and enjoy some good coffee).
